Sustaining a 150 HP motor requires an extensive solar field covering a large footprint to generate a stable DC supply capable of supporting a 220A output:

1. Total Solar Array Capacity: It is highly recommended to oversize the PV array to between 143 kW and 155 kW (1.3 to 1.4 times the drive capacity) to counteract midday heat degradation and cable line resistance losses.
2. String Wiring Layout: If utilizing modern 550W panels (with an Open Circuit Voltage \(V_{oc}\) of roughly 50V per panel):
   • You will need 260 to 282 panels in total.
