A 25 HP load requires a robust solar array layout to ensure continuous water flow even on hazy or partially cloudy days:
Total Solar Array Capacity: It is recommended to size your PV array between 24 kW and 26 kW (roughly 1.3 to 1.4 times the drive capacity).
String Wiring Layout: If you use standard 550W panels (with an Open Circuit Voltage \(V_{oc}\) of roughly 50V per panel):
You will need 44 to 48 panels in total.
Correct Layout: Divide them into two parallel strings (2 Strings × 22 or 24 panels in series). This ensures that the voltage safely stays beneath the 800V limit while maximizing total current for heavy lifting.
