Solar Array Configuration Guide

Driving a 30 HP motor requires a massive solar array to sustain standard output pressure even during the morning, late afternoon, or hazy conditions:

1. Total Solar Array Capacity: It is highly recommended to oversize the PV array to between 28.6 kW and 31 kW (roughly 1.3 to 1.4 times the drive capacity).
2. String Wiring Layout: If utilizing modern 550W panels (with an Open Circuit Voltage \(V_{oc}\) of roughly 50V per panel):
   • You will need 52 to 56 panels in total.
   • Correct Layout: Divide them into two parallel strings (2 Strings × 26 or 28 panels in series). This safety-checks your system by multiplying the total current while keeping the combined voltage well beneath the maximum 800V DC limit.
