  • Rating: 15 Amps, typically rated for 1000V to 1500V DC depending on the manufacturer.
  • Weatherproofing: Usually rated IP67 or IP68 for waterproof and dustproof outdoor use.
  • When to use: They are primarily used when multiple solar panels are wired in parallel to prevent the combined current from exceeding the maximum series fuse rating of an individual panel.

Calculation: Typically, a panel's maximum fuse rating is listed on its specification sticker. You should fuse slightly above this rating but within the wire's capacity, and the 15A size is standard for smaller to mid-sized solar panels.
